Grand Canyon Camping

Grand Canyon National Park is an ideal place for anyone wishing to camp in designated sites, camp in the backcountry or RV camping. There are 5 campgrounds in Grand Canyon National Park, four of these accepting RVs. Opportunities for camping off the beaten trail are there for the enthusiasts as well.  In those 5 campgrounds there are 612 campsites available, equating to 223,380 camping nights annually. Still due to the parks popularity, only 5% of the parks visitors camp for a night in the park due to limited availability.

However, there is only a certain amount of space designated to camping, so it is advised that any camping be booked well in advance, especially the South Rim, which attracts the most visitors.
